Chipper has shared his surf stoke with thousands of surfers, young and old, beginner to advanced. He is on a mission to share surfing and connect as many people as possible to a wonderful ongoing relationship with our oceans. A dedicated husband and father of four great children that have been raised surfing and exploring wild places. There is no better example of pure stoke than to see Chip down at the beach riding waves and playing in the ocean with his family.

Beyond the boardroom, Johnny is a true waterman—he thrives on riding big waves, getting barreled, and sharing the stoke and his delicious porridge with everyone around him.
In his early years, Johnny helped guide and inspire 100’s of people through the Wilderness Education Program alongside Erik Shaw and Pilar, instilling resilience and adventure in countless lives. He later became instrumental in leading the Best Day Foundation, where he helped more than 1,200 kids experience the ocean—from surfing sessions to kayaking adventures and even Channel Islands excursions. His work opened doors for children of all abilities, including blind youth, to discover the joy of the sea.
As a father of four and grandfather to many, Johnny brings not only professional expertise but also deep heart and humanity to everything he does. His commanding presence, relentless drive, and authentic leadership style make him the kind of person who inspires trust and action.
